Accessibility

Erikson Institute is fully committed to complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 504, which states “No otherwise qualified person with a disability ….shall solely, on the basis of disability, be denied access to, or the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity provided by any institution receiving federal financial assistance.”

Erikson will also comply with other federal, state, and local laws regarding accommodations for any person with a disability. Erikson will neither discriminate against, nor decline to reasonably accommodate, a qualified student or staff member with a disability.

  • For any qualified student, Erikson will make reasonable accommodations to enable them to obtain equal access to attaining the same level of performance or enjoying equal benefits and privileges as are available to a similarly-situated student without a documented disability.

  • Reasonable accommodations are individualized and flexible and are based on the nature of the disability and the academic environment.

If you are a student who has a documented disability or other special circumstance that might impede your access to learning opportunities and success at Erikson, please contact Disability Coordinator Whitney Mittons, Director of Student Experience & Support at wmittons@erikson.edu. Below you will find information about requesting accommodations and some guidelines about documentation.
